Apostle Whey Cheese – Washed Rind (‘The Grotto’)

Apostle Whey Cheese The Grotto starts off life as a Camembert. During maturation it is washed daily in a special solution that allows the development of a stronger, more pungent flavour and a lovely orange colour. As a washed rind it is quite mild but the flavour will strengthen with age.
